Dr Ravi . B is a Vitreo-Retinal surgeon. He graduated (MBBS) from A J Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalore and thereafter did post graduation (M.D), in the specialty of Ophthalmology from Dr Rajendra Prasad Centre For Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Successfully completed and trained as Senior Resident (Fellow) in the specialty of Vitreo-Retina, Uveitis and Retinopathy of Prematurity for three years. He also got an additional DNB (Diplomate of National Board) Degree in Ophthalmology, FICO and FAICO (Vitreo-Retina) fellowship award.

During residency, he has performed thousands of cataract surgeries, hundreds of Retinal surgeries including management of retinal detachment, macular holes, Epiretinal membrane removal and Diabetic Retinopathy (DR). He is well versed with various investigative modalities like Fundus Fluoresceine angiography, retinal OCT, Ultrasound B scan , UBM and Retcam. He is also well experienced in retinal lasers for various retinal conditions like Diabetic retinopathy, vascular occlusions and vasculitis. He is expert in treating Diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration, retinal vascular occlusion, retinal detachment, diagnosis and treatment of various types of Uveitis and management of retinopathy of prematurity. His interest in conducting research and teaching post graduate students is highly appreciable. He has presented various research papers in various national and international conferences/ meetings. He has also multiple research /review articles in to his credit in various national and international peer reviewed journals. He is also reviewer to various indexed ophthalmology journals. He has been awarded international travel grant by ICMR for attending annual ARVO meeting at Denver, USA in 2015.

He has also experience of working as Vitreo-Retina consultant at Shekar Eye Hospital, Bangalore for 2 years. He has more than a decade of experience in ophthalmology
